About Us
About Us
We are Paul and Laurie. We are your hosts here at Highland Marina. We have the good fortune to raise our two children in this beautiful area of Colorado and nearly twenty years of wedded bliss. We are an animal loving family and have a variety of them here with us. Our family has fun together, no matter what we are doing at the time.
Customer service is our number one priority, as we want you to enjoy your stay with us as much as we enjoy having you here with us. We open the second Saturday in May each year, and our season runs until the second Saturday in October. Hours are Sunday thru Thursday from 7AM-6PM, Friday and Saturday from 7AM-8PM for both the store and the marina. Be sure to check out the wide variety of merchandise at the store, and the video rentals.
Paul has over 30 years experience at the Marina, having worked for his parents, the former owners of Highland Marina. Paul and I purchased the business from them in 1996. One thing that makes Highland Marina unique in this area is that we are in a long cove, which protects us from some of the weather, considering we are a mountain marina. Another thing that makes us unique is that Paul is a Certified Inspector for Quagga and Zebra Mussels, meaning there is always an inspector on site for launching and retrieving boats.
Activities abound in our area, including hiking, boating, fishing (both fly fishing and casting), shopping, Rocky Mountain National Park, Winter Park, horseback riding, skiing, biking trails, and don’t miss out on Granby-it is a very cute old mountain town, offering carnivals, craft fairs, concerts, rodeo and a host of dining experiences. Granby was first inhabited by the Cheyenne and Arapahoe Nations, and has a vibrant history and heritage.
